It's time for the kids to get back on the tennis court and brush up their skills.
The horse dentist came to do all the polo ponies teeth.
Murray John @murray.whaley spent his afternoons servicing all our motorbikes as we no longer have farm mechanics.
Paula Joy @paulas_ponies continues to train Carlos, who is super smart.
So a busy start to the year with loads of rain.

The kids had an amazing experience when they got to attend a golf clinic and play a golf tournament with the IWU golf team @iwu_golf from the USA.

What a wonderful bunch of students who love to spread the Word and play for Jesus.

Murray John had to play off gold and scored 88.
Paula Joy scored 39 off 9 holes and 83 in all. Resulting in her and her partner coming second. Well done, guys!

Over Christmas, Paula Joy spent her time breaking in Carlos. He is a lovely 3 year old warmblood whom Paula Joy is training. Together, they have a wonderful relationship, which is such a joy to watch.

Life in Zim can be very trying. A back tyre blowout, thanks to our very potholed roads, would be extremely tough without the kids' assistance. They are my version of roadside assistance.

We had to negotiate the lorries going past and then find a new tyre in the neighboring town as one always has to have a spare.

The car designers surely could come up with an easier way to change a tyre. I certainly can't do it on my own.

Part 2 of our houseboat trip was amazing. The Ume River is a little piece of heaven, and as we were the only houseboat there, it truly was special.
The kids just love helping with all aspects of houseboat life, and we had plenty of fresh bream dinners.

Paula Joy and her two thoroughbred polo ponies had

Paula Joy and her two thoroughbred polo ponies had such a fun show at Hillcrest in the 1m and 1.1m classes.

Paula Joy wakes up at 4 am. every day to look after her horses and to get her school done, often finishing up at 7 pm.

She trims all her horse's hooves and has to ride them wherever she finds flat ground. She certainly is a dedicated horse woman whom we are very proud of.

Thank you, everyone, at Hillcrest, for a wonderful fun weekend.

She managed to jump them a few times before we headed off for some xcountry schooling and a derby practice show.

Murray John loves to help with the course building, so he also had a fun but busy weekend.
