What sort of education have you chosen for your child?
Education is not only about curriculum’s, reaching goals and earning degrees. It should also be about preparing children for life and its enormous challenges.
Education should include constant guidance and life skills, in order to enable our God given children to cope in an ever changing world. If pain and suffering is to be avoided, children need to be able to stand firm against the world and its temptations.
Children also need to be able to discern right from wrong.
What is our goal as educators of our children?
Academic knowledge alone?
OR:
Knowledge – plus wisdom and skills for life?
As most parents have recently been experiencing schooling at home, they should now have a better idea as to what their children are learning, aside from their curriculum’s. Right now, is an ideal opportunity for us to truly examine our children’s education…
Ask yourself:
Do you want your children to follow the worldly crowd?
OR:
Do your want them to:
- Acquire Godly wisdom and discernment.
- Know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
- Know and understand the Bible.
- Grow up having the Word of God as their weapon.
- Know how to fight spiritual battles.
- Be a light for others to follow.
- Speak out and become a voice for those who have no voice.
“They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.” 1 John 4 vs 5 -6
I suggest you write down your answers, to each of the above questions. This will enable you to see clearly what it is that you desire for your children.
Warning: Satan (the devil) is real.
Satan’s overriding goal is to destroy the family. You just need to raise your head and look around, to clearly see him at work. What are you as a parent doing to stop Satan from destroying your family, your home and your children’s minds?
There is a devil, and he is evil. He has angelic and demonic beings at his disposal to harass and seek to harm us. However, he is no match for God. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11)! Nothing can separate us from the love of God, and no one can snatch us from the Father’s hand (Romans 8:35, John 10:29).
– Amir Tsafarti
The only way to fight the devil is with God’s Word.
Without knowledge of God’s Word your children are weak and defenseless.
Jesus desires for us to flourish spiritually, emotionally and physically. That nurturing starts in the family.

Christian Education.
The goal of individualized Christian education is to equip your child with the means to fight against evil, whilst gaining in knowledge. Christian education will also enable your children to think for themselves, to question what they learn, and to gain in wisdom and discernment. Then they will be strengthened to tackle whatever is thrown at them.
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4
The Key to Complete Education is based upon Solid Biblical Knowledge.
Chaotic World.
The chaos around us now is not new to the Lord. He has equipped us, through His Word, to survive and flourish, even during chaos.
“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” Ecclesiastics 1 vs 9
As we live in a chaotic and challenging world, we can’t keep our children living in ignorance. Are we teaching them to look for the truth, or to just believe what they see and hear? I have made the choice to teach our children to search for the truth and to ask God to show them the truth.
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32.
We are all slowly awakening to the fact that the truth is not found in the mainstream media (MSM). Should we keep this from our children? No, we need to educate our children to seek the truth, to pray for the truth to be revealed, and to take up the amour of God and fight for the truth.
Christian parents: How much of the Bible is your child learning at this time?
As Christian parents, educating children to become sheep is NOT our goal. Educating children to have solid biblical knowledge is our goal and children should be reading and learning God’s word daily. Ideally, this should be incorporated into their education program. If this is not the case, you can change this now, -as you look for a Biblical based program to follow. Accelerated Christian Education(ACE) is a great place to start.
As we have experienced with Covid19, the future is unsure.
As we head into uncertain times our children need to have a solid Biblical knowledge, to help them discern right from wrong and to identify and engage in spiritual warfare. God is bigger than our enemy, but we should know our enemy and educate our children accordingly. Ignorance is not bliss as it will only destroy you in the end.
Paul said to Timothy in 2 Tim:4v7: “I finished the race. I fought the good fight.” That means there is a fight to fight and that the life of the believer, from the moment you become a Christian, is not a picnic. It’s actually paved with many struggles and much spiritual warfare.”
– Amir Tsafarti.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places”. Ephesians 6:12.
Look and Act: Teach your child the Word of God.
As a parent I believe it is our responsibility to educate our children in the word of God. It’s not something that can wait until they have grown up and it is not something to be ignored. I strongly believe that it is our duty to instill these life skills into each of our children as these are the most important skills they will ever need.
Without the Word of God – Children are not able to overcome the wicked one.
“You are strong, and the Word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.” 1 John 2:14.
-Go now and embrace Biblical education for your child, because it will be their saving grace at the end of the day.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that You will help me build my children’s life on a solid foundation. I know that there is no more solid foundation than that which is built on the Rock – which is You, Jesus, and Your Word. I ask you to guide me, whilst I educate my children: In Jesus name I pray… Amen.
