How We Received Our Miracle.

Lock-down in Zimbabwe.

This week Zimbabwe declared a 21 day lock-down, to avoid the spread of the coronavirus. The whole family needed to be on the farm for this period, which meant a very busy few days for me in town, getting organised to be on the farm for the next three weeks. This was a huge challenge, as provisions had to be bought for our family and for the town staff, to see them through… Nothing is straight forward in Zimbabwe and it takes a huge amount of time to get things done.

God’s Truth.

Once we were back on the farm and settled for the lock-down, the Lord opened my heart to look to the truth about all this hype -and not to walk by sight.  We are told in His Word to walk by faith not sight…

‘For we walk by faith, not by sight’… 2 Corinthians 5 vs 7 NKJ

We immediately repented of our fear and chose to walk by faith. I kept all our house staff at work and we continued our lives as normal, with homeschooling and daily trips to the horses to ride. We are not wearing gloves and masks and we are not displaying fear. Instead, we walk in love and faith.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1 vs 7

Once the country went into lock-down the 450 employees, who work on the farm, became scared and threatened to strike. The media hype does not help one bit!    We have crops in the field that will rot, should we have a strike.  People worldwide need food, so farmers need to continue to provide food…

Our Miracle.

Douglas addressed the labor and explained that all farms are to continue and that the company has put measures in place to help them: -masks, gloves, sanatiser etc., and that they themselves need to practice social distancing.

Today everyone is at work and the strike did not happen!  However, should we as leaders have shown fear, as in walking around with masks and gloves and not having our staff come to work, the result would have been very different and our leadership and safety would have been compromised.  God certainly guided us to this miracle…

We are what we do…

I am so thankful to God for showing me His truth. That we are to act like his disciples at all times. We are what we do and everyone sees God through how we conduct our lives.

Stop deceiving yourselves.

“If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise.”  1 Corinthians 3:18 NLV

This verse made me think and I certainly don’t want to miss God!

What are you doing to make sure that you do not miss God?

That is what you need to ask yourself daily. Please, I urge you to seek the truth, question what you see and stand by his Word.

God will guide you to your next miracle.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to engage with You in prayer every day in a powerful and effective way. Thank you that You have given me protective armor and the promise that You are always with me. In Jesus name, I prayer, Amen.
